German Mining Network Webinar: Innovation Hubs in the Raw Materials Sector of Chile & Peru – an opportunity for German Companies

In recent years, Chile and Peru have broken new ground in organizing innovation in the mining sector by establishing targeted innovation networks and hubs to accelerate the development and application of new technologies and improve collaboration between startups, mining companies, research centers and technology providers.

Bauma 2022 exceeds all expectations

From October 24 to 30, bauma 2022 took place and the Messe München exhibition center once again became the global epicenter of the construction, civil engineering and mining machinery industry. Despite the numerous factors of instability affecting the global economy (pandemic, war in Ukraine, inflation, supply shortages, etc.), this year’s edition closed with excellent figures: 3,200 exhibitors from 60 countries and more than 495,000 visitors from over 200 countries attended the fair. The share of international visitors was around 50 percent.

Machines in Construction develops data interface

Together with the agreed data protocol, the new MiC 4.0 Bus enables every attachment to communicate unambiguously and without additional devices with every construction machine, regardless of brand and manufacturer. It was jointly developed by the participating companies in the attachment cluster of the MiC 4.0 Machines in Construction working group and will now be presented live for the first time at bauma from 24-30 October in the LAB0 innovation hall.

Canada’s Critical Raw Materials Strategy

A discussion paper on critical raw materials was published in mid-June 2022 by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). The paper will be open for public discussion and feedback until mid-September, after which it will be incorporated into a raw materials strategy.
