Between 10% and 15% of the material extracted from the mine does not meet the size standards for the crushing process (oversized greater than 1 m3), requiring an additional blasting process. This decreases the productivity of the extraction process, so a technology is needed that provides accurate and objective information about the particle size (granulometry) of the material extracted from the mine.
