Wealth Minerals and BASF have agreed to work together on the extraction, processing, and refining of lithium and other substances in the Salares de Atacama and Ollagüe in northern Chile. The details of this collaboration also depend on clarifications from the Chilean government regarding the National Lithium Strategy announced earlier this year. This partnership aims to promote and enable the application of the highest social and environmental standards in the early stages of the battery material value chain, in line with Chile’s National Lithium Strategy, global goals for sustainable supply, and the expectations of end customers in this sector.
