EU Circular Economy Act – Public Consultation Launched

On 1 August 2025, the European Commission opened a public consultation on the upcoming EU Circular Economy Act, planned for adoption in 2026.
Key goals include:

• Creating a single market for secondary raw materials
• Boosting the supply of high-quality recycled materials
• Doubling the EU circularity rate from 11.8% to 24% by 2030
• Increasing demand for circular materials in the EU

All stakeholders – including German companies and industry associations – are invited to share their views via the “Have Your Say” portal.
