Who is the German Mining Network?
The German Mining Network consists of six international Competence Centres for Mining and Mineral Resources co-located with the respective bilateral German Chambers (AHKs) in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Peru and Southern Africa, the German Mineral Resources Agency (DERA) in the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), and Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI). The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) funds and supports the activities of the network. The Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) has a coordinating role. This website offers you easy and direct access to all contacts in the network as well as to the homepages of all associated partner organizations.
What is the German Mining Network?
The German Mining Network is a platform for German companies and institutions dealing with mineral resources nationally and internationally. This includes: mining equipment suppliers and service providers, mining companies and metal traders, alloy manufacturers, metal and alloy procuring companies, consultants, research institutions, and representatives from government and industry associations. Through its unique structure, and with its combined competence of its members and partners, the network aims to support the sustainable long-term resource supply security for German companies and boost German exports internationally.
What is the benefit for German companies?
The German Mining Network offers German companies, and institutions, a platform that allows rapid access to market information and direct contacts in relevant resource-rich countries. The German Mining Network offers support for German companies, on a strategic level, by assisting with questions around mineral and metal supply securing, and on an operative level by assisting with international market entries and business partner searches. Our support services are targeted mainly to German companies with mineral and metal procurement, as well as German mining equipment manufacturers and service providers.
